2014 KIA Sorento Service/Owner manual
2014 KIA Sorento Service/Owner manual - It was a similar story when you step inside. Kia has made some interior improvements, but will not strike out at you as the original. Although there is a softer touch materials along with slightly improved ergonomics, the initial feeling is that familiarity. Anyone with current Sorento will feel right at home in the new Type.
An area of improvement that needs to be noted is that there are now 1.2-inches more legroom for the second row to the third plus as well, but as we know, in and out of the third row is complicated and will require one to contort like Cirque du Soleil gymnast.
For a family of five, 2014 Sorento offers a lot of comfort. There is heated seats are available for both front seats and the rear bench (although not required for the drive in the desert), plus now both the driver and the front passenger seat can opt for ventilated cooled seats (previously, only the driver gets heated / cooled seats). You can also opt for a heated steering wheel, which also can not be tested in Arizona.
Further changes can be found under the hood. As before, there are two engines available, though both are new. New base engine is a 2.4-liter, inline-four-cylinder units that now feature Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI). This replaces the old motor that while the same size, but features a multi port injection (MPI). 2.4 GDI motor produces 191-hp and 181 lb-ft of torque.
